And it’s not just my tolerance for your chaos.
The Wicked: For Good trailer dropped yesterday and I have to confess…
I am unwell.
Like… cannot focus on anything else, cancel all my coaching calls, watch it 30 times in a row trying to pick out any easter eggs unwell.
The only time I’ve ever been this hyped for November was… last November. When Part One came out and you couldn’t have a full conversation with me without mentioning how Cynthia and Ariana were actually born for these roles.
And, like any sane person, I obviously listened to the album on repeat.
And you know Defying Gravity gets me every.single.time.
But that song… that scene… that moment?
It’s a true declaration for Elphaba.
It’s the moment she realizes she’s done playing small.
Done following the rules that don’t make sense.
Don’t trying to make herself make sense to people who were never going to get it.
And honestly?
That same feeling comes when you finally decide to stop running your business like a to do list and start building it like an actual business.
There’s a shift.
Something clicks.
And suddenly, you’re not just trying to keep up anymore. You’re creating something sustainable.
You start:
- Saying no to things that no longer serve you
- Hiring people to take things off your plate
- Creating systems so you’re not starting from scratch every time
- Realizing you’re not meant to do it all by yourself forever
You stop the grind and you start owning it.
And yeah, of course. It’s scary.
You become vulnerable.
But it’s your “Defying Gravity” moment.
When you stop playing by everyone else’s rules and start writing your own.
When your business starts to support you instead of draining you.
When the backend of your business matches the front and chaos isn’t running the show anymore.
So if you’re feeling lost, like you don’t know if you’re cut out for this anymore. If you’re thinking to yourself “this can’t be all there is”… you’re right. It’s not.
You weren’t meant to hustle forever and constantly feel the weight of everything around you.
You were meant to build something that lifts you up.
And you don’t need to wait for November to make it happen.
That’s what makes me so nice,
Lauren
